Isn’t it nice how those UW students and faculty treat the taxpayer funded University computers…

UW says 40 computers hacked - The computers were used as part of an underground network distributing music, movies, television shows and commercial software.

‘Know Your Food’ Socialists

USDA is on YouTube gathering socialism support.  Note: You can’t embed the video; you see, they want you signed up and logged in so they know who you are before you get access to “additional sharing options”.

The ‘Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food’ initiative, chaired by Deputy Secretary Merrigan, is the focus of a task force with representatives from agencies across USDA who will help better align the Department’s efforts to build stronger local and regional food systems.  This week alone, USDA will announce approximately $65 million in funding for ‘Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food’ initiatives.

USDA’s Risk Management Agency announced $3.4 million in funding for collaborative outreach and assistance programs to socially disadvantaged and underserved farmers. These programs will support ‘Know You Farmer’ goals by helping producers adopt new and direct marketing practices. For example, nearly $10,000 in funding for the University of Minnesota will bring together experts on food safety and regulations for a discussion of marketing to institutions like K-12 schools, colleges, universities, hospitals and other health care facilities.

USDA’s Rural Development announced $4.4 million in grants to help 23 local business cooperatives in 19 states. The member-driven and member-owned cooperative business model has been successful for rural enterprises, and bring rural communities closer to the process of moving from production-to-consumption as they work to improve their products and expand their appeal in the marketplace.

USDA’s Rural Development will also announce a Rural Business Opportunity Grant in the amount of $150,000 to the Northwest Food Processors Association. The grant will strengthen the relationship between local food processors and customers in parts of Idaho, Oregon and Washington, and will also help the group reduce energy consumption, a major cost for food processors.

Provide comments on this initiative by e-mailing KnowYourFarmer@usda.gov.

You can also provide comments on the YouTube.com page but beware: If you disagree – well, to quote one poster, “This program keeps rejecting my comment without explanation.”

Candy: A Violence Factor

Posted by Jeni | Headline Happenings | Monday 12 October 2009 2:52 am

Incredible – and just in time for Halloween:

British experts studied more than 17,000 children born in 1970 for about four decades. Of the children who ate candies or chocolates daily at age 10, 69 percent were later arrested for a violent offense by the age of 34. Of those who didn’t have any violent clashes, 42 percent ate sweets daily.

Read on, however, and they also say:

The researchers said the results were interesting, but that more studies were needed to confirm the link. “It’s not that the sweets themselves are bad, it’s more about interpreting how kids make decisions,” said Simon Moore of the University of Cardiff, one of the paper’s authors.

Someone actually pays for this stuff.  Wouldn’t you venture a guess that just about every adult arrested for a violent crime ate candy???

DC Nativity Scene

No Nativity Scene in Washington DC this year…

The Supreme Court has ruled that there cannot be a Nativity Scene in the United  States Capital this Christmas season.

This isn’t for any religious reason.  They simply have not been able to find Three Wise Men in the Nation’s Capitol.

There was no problem, however, finding enough asses to fill the stable.

(Yes, this is a parody duh)

Thought Control

Posted by Jeni | D.C. Debauchery | Saturday 3 October 2009 3:43 pm

The last remaining World War II Victory Garden has been perverted into a midnight playground for anonymous homosexual sex.

Boston City Councilor Mike Ross said he’s “getting complaints from people who are tired of seeing human remains … in their gardens … needles, condoms, condom wrappers.”

Now that Boston police have increased patrols in order to crack down on public fornication and drug use, radical homosexual activists are crying discrimination.

Thought Control is only one step away from making it to Barack Obama’s desk. The Homosexual Lobby succeeded in tacking the bill onto the must-pass Defense Authorization Act.

Now Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are appointing the conference committee to work out the minor details on before ramming this legislation through to be signed into law.

I need you to call Senator Carl Levin now at (202) 224-6221. Senator Levin is likely to be the chairman of the conference committee.

Tell him you will not stand for legislation that labels all opposition to the Homosexual Agenda as discrimination, and that Thought Control must be removed from the Defense Authorization Act.
